When the highly acclaimed Van Gogh Exhibition: The Immersive Experience was set to arrive in Los Angeles, the project’s contractors were tasked with constructing a home on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood to showcase this multisensory journey. Green Polishing Solutions was hired to design and create a concrete floor that would be a key component in a gigantic 360-degree canvas used to bring Van Gogh’s artwork to life with 80 ultra-high-quality laser projectors. We were also tasked with choosing and installing the flooring for the event’s back house.

The GPS answer: For the 10,000-square-foot main hall, as well as for other flooring in the exhibition, we created stunning, black-stained polished floors. The sequencing went from metal diamonds to ceramic diamonds to resinous diamonds and included densification and lithium-based sealers. For the backhouse, we assisted in choosing a luxurious wood-finished vinyl plank and, in some areas, high-end vinyl composition tiles.
